Important update about our Anaheim convention

In light of recent public health guidance on COVID-19, we have made the difficult decision to cancel CDA’s convention in Anaheim this May. All attendee registration fees and exhibitor booth fees will be refunded and CDA is offering members online and audio courses at no cost.

CDA Presents The Art and Science of Dentistry is usually held twice each year, once in Anaheim in the spring and once in San Francisco in the fall.

Change and cancellation deadlines: April 17, 2020

  • Refunds will be processed through April 17, 2020. Event changes can be made through the online dashboard that can be accessed through your email confirmation. If you are canceling on behalf of a registrant, please email . Refund requests received after April 17 will not be accepted.

Saturday exhibits-only pass
Nonmember dentists who want to explore the exhibit halls can register on-site at the membership counter for a one-day pass on Saturday. The cost is $190 and the pass is valid for exhibit hall hours only. It is not valid for continuing education courses.

Registration hours

Registration and eBadge exchange hours are as follows:

Wednesday: 3-5 p.m.

Thursday: 6:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.

Friday: 6:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.

Saturday: 6:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.


Reserved seating

Reserved seating is available for select courses. To take advantage of this convenient option, you must register in advance. See schedule for details.

  • Seats will be held up to 10 minutes after the program begins, after which time the seats will be released.
  • A separate entrance will be available for reserved seating eTicket holders.
  • Reserved seating is grouped in a designated area.

 Beyond these reserved seating options, all lectures are free and seating is on a first-come, first-served basis.

Online Learning and Audio Recordings

CDA's online learning platform, CDA Brightbox, provides dental professionals a brilliant way to take part in C.E.-eligible education at any hour and from anywhere. Offerings include both courses and audiobooks designed to support your continued education. 

  • To support members and their dental teams, CDA is waiving fees for courses required by the California Dental Board for the next 90 days. 
  • The Dentists Insurance Company is also waiving fees for its current Risk Management seminar, which is offered online at
  • The CDA Presents Anaheim 2019 Audio Recording Bundle will also be made available at no charge. To be eligible for course credit, a C.E. summary submission process for audio courses still applies.

Hotel & Travel

Due to the recent cancellation of CDA Presents in Anaheim, hotel and travel reservations need to be cancelled. If you booked within CDA's room block, CDA will cancel hotel reservations and no action is required. If you did not book through CDA's room block, we remind you to contact the hotel directly.

Child Care

Special child care programs are available on-site every day of the convention. Take advantage of drop-in or scheduled child care options.


Scheduled Child Care

The licensed child care professionals at KiddieCorp provide full and half-day programs. Half-day and full day options are available for children ages 6 months to 6 years, with additional options for children who are ages 7 to 12.

Drop-in Kid Zone

The drop-in Kid Zone is only offered at CDA Presents in Anaheim, located within the exhibit hall. Kid Zone is designed specially to provide fun activities for children ages 4 to 12 and offers up to three hours of care per child for only $5 per day. No preregistration is needed.

Exhibit Hall Family Hours

Visit the exhibit hall together during family hours. Children 10 and younger are welcome in the exhibit hall from 9:30 a.m.– noon daily. There is no cost, and a youth pass can be picked up at registration. Please be aware that no strollers are allowed in the exhibit hall.

Children 11 and older can be registered as a guest attendees with access to the exhibit hall throughout the day.
